Boivert started metal sculpting at the young age of 14 with expert sculptor, Fanfan Joseph. His professional career began when he was just 18 years old. Boivert gained experience working as a metal craft sculptor at the Coconut factory from 1991 to 1996. For the next three years, he worked at the Heritage Gallery, then at Mimi Creations. In 1999, Boivert established New Edition Artcraft to produce both handicrafts and fine art sculptures.
Later in 2005, Boivert reorganized New Edition Artcraft into Boivert Art and Boivert Art Industries to separate his work into fine art and commercial undertakings. Boivert Art now produces fine art sculptures in a style and technique distinct from other Haitian metal sculptors. He was the first to introduce painting on sculptures, first to introduce sculptures with "reliefs," and first to work on historic themes, portraitures, and calligraphy on metal. During that same year, Boivert founded The Boivert Foundation, whose mission is to provide training to young kids on the art of woodworking, metal sculpting, and to assist in furthering their education.
Boivert's art is widely collected. His sculptures can be found at the National Palace of Haiti, the US Embassy in Haiti, and in many private collections.
